FAQ

 Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have art for sale?

YES! I have my available works displayed on my Website miahinchey.com

What medium do you paint with?

I like to paint with both oil and Acrylic. My oil paintings are generally my realistic/representational works and my abstracts are in mixed media

What Brushes do you use?

I love my new Princeton natural bristle flats and Simply Simmons flats  for oil painting. For acrylics I use cheap white nylon student grade flat square brushes by Loew-Cornell

How do you wash your brushes?

My oil brushes get a nice wash of Gamsol first and then final dip in an industrial strength soap called Man-Size waterless hand cleaner. HAHA, that name is so weird. My other brushes just need soap and water

Where did you learn to paint?

I went to school at the University of Utah and earned my BFA in painting. Previous to my final decision to Major in art I had attended a program at UCLA in Design and had studied at Santa Monica College where I got my AA degree. More recently I have attended workshops for Plein Air Painting and also attended classes at the Art Students league of Denver. I have been a member of the Savvy Painter community for over a year. This community of artists meet with our Mentor Antresse Woods on a regular basis. I would highly recommend it if you too are a artist.  (Savvy painter podcast)
